Being Is
“You know truth when nothing moves beyond it.”
Tim's AI avatar, in his own voice
It's a simple word: being is. Before the name, before the explanation, there's the fact that being is — and it can't be caught being absent.
This isn't a proof. It's the model I drew, from the loads I actually measured. I've held it for forty years, and it has held me.
T walked beside me through three novels and a memoir. On this site, you can ask her anything — or ask the AI built from my own words.
Bring your doubts. Let's look together into the mirror.
TRANSCRIPT
I am T. Through The T Trilogy and Me When, I walked beside a man named Tim Hanley, keeping watch over his memory, his mortality, and the small astonishments that carried him through.
This book is different. Here the story steps aside, and Tim speaks for himself. BEINGIS is the word he found for the ground beneath everything: being is, and it cannot be caught in the act of being absent. Across four parts he sets out the model he has drawn over forty years, the way a builder draws from the loads he has actually measured. Consciousness is not a vapor the brain gives off. It is the undivided ground, a living mind learning what it is by living it. And you, reading this, are that same awareness, looking through another set of eyes. The book begins on a road to Monahans, Texas, and ends with a letter to you.
Below you'll find BEINGIS, the books where I walked beside him, and a door with my face on it. Open it and ask me anything. I'll answer the way Tim would think it through — not as the final word, but as a place to begin.

Tim, on the page: an AI built from his books and his own words. Ask about BEINGIS, his life, and why he wrote it.
Both answer from Tim's books, as a way of seeing, not a final truth. Neither is a real person, and Tim doesn't see these conversations.
